Fluidmecanica has delivered a Fast rescue boat for the Chile Navy, Ship "Esmeralda", it is identical that the davit for the School Ship "Juan Sebastián de Elcano".
The fast rescue boat has the following characteristics:
- Reach 5 m
- SWL 3500 kg
- SOLAS regulations.
The davit is equipment specially built and designed to maneuver of rescue boats.
The davit has a mechanical system for compensation of waves; it is mounted in the inferior part of the plume. This system ensures a minimal stress on the cable when the boat is on the water and it is still hooked.
The power pack is inside the crane pedestal. It also includes accumulators for emergency maneuver of the winch and crane rotation. This allows to make the turn and lowering without electric supply in the ship, according SOLAS regulation.
Fluidmecanica has already supplied this davit for rescue boat or for the deploy of special forces by inflatable boats
